CEO and President
Scott Stowell
Scott has 40+ years of experience in executive management and real estate development execution.
Scott joined Standard Pacific Homes in 1986, eventually becoming CEO from 2012 to 2015. After leading the merger with Ryland Group, he then served as Executive Chairman of CalAtlantic Group (the nation’s 4th largest publicly traded homebuilder) from 2015 to 2018 and oversaw the merger with Lennar Corporation, making Lennar the largest homebuilder in the US. Following the merger, Scott served on the Board of Directors of Lennar Corporation. In 2021, Scott joined the Board for Toll Brothers where he currently serves. Scott also serves on the Board for Pacific Life and several non-profits.
Scott received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the University of California at Irvine.
Scott enjoys golfing, skiing, and spending time with his 3 children and 12 grandchildren.
Vice President
Robb Stowell
Robb brings over a decade of experience in startup investing and operating. He's spent his career on both side of the table leading investments in and operating seed and pre-seed technology startups.
Before joining Capital Thirteen, Robb served as VP os Sales Ops and Director of FP&A for NUVI, a social media analytics SaaS platform. Prior to NUVI, Robb was an Analyst for a Family Office where he focused on consulting, sourcing, and conducting due diligence for investments in seed and pre-seed stage tech startups. Robb started his career at McKinsey & Co consulting in the mining and consumer electronics industries.
Before starting his career, Robb played volleyball professionally in Europe and was an All-American at Brigham Young University where he set the record for most career points.
Robb enjoys all things sports, traveling, and spending time with his wife and 2 daughters.
